Which versions of Dynamics AX does AXER apply to?
AXER provides resolutions to errors occurring in Microsoft Dynamics AX 4.0 and Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009. Each error resolution includes information regarding the versions and modules it affects.
How do I search for an error quickly?
The best way is to copy the complete error text from the infolog and paste it into the search box in the AXER tool. That will get you an exact match of the error.
You can also search using the key words, words within the error message and wild card characters (*,? ,! etc.). In these cases, you are likely to get several matches that you can browse though to find the best match.
How do I list all the errors in a particular module?
Enter the module name in the search box. For example, enter AP module to get all of the Accounts Payable errors.
What do I do if I don’t find the error I am looking for?
Submit the error:
- Click on the "Submit Error" button in the main menu.
- Paste the error message in the "Error Heading" box.
- Describe the problem in the "Error Description" box.
- Upload and attach a screen shot of the error, if available.
The AXER team will find the relevant solution regarding the error and send it back to you.
I have a good resolution to an AX problem. How do I add it to AXER?
Submit the resolution:
- Click on the "Submit Resolution" button in the main menu.
- Paste the error message in the "Error Heading" box.
- Describe the problem in the "Error Description" box.
- Describe the resolution in the "Resolution" box.
- Upload and attach a resolution document, if available.
The AXER team will verify and upload the resolution on the website under your user name.
My AX implementation is customized. Will I find resolutions to the errors arising from the customizations
No, the AXER tool provides resolutions to the errors found in the standard AX product (Vanilla version). Customizations are specific to your organization and will not be covered. However, members are welcome to post queries in discussion groups or search the blogs.
What kinds of errors are be supported by this tool?
Standard AX errors are supported. Errors relating to customizations, including customized AX development or implementation modifications of a particular feature are not supported by the tool. However, members are welcome to post queries in discussion groups or search the blogs.

Can I trust the solutions provided on the AXER tool?
AXER resolutions have been prepared by experienced consultants, who have been working in the AX field for 5 to 6 years. These consultants have a wide experience in implementation and post-implementation support in AX and in other domains. The resolutions provided are a reflection of the standard procedures to be followed in AX. We strongly recommend that you check the resolution on a test server before applying it in your production server.
How can I be sure that the error I see is what I am looking for?
The resolution page includes a table which describes the modules, feature area and version of AX that the error is applicable to. Also included is section called “Steps to reproduce”. Follow these steps to ensure that the resolution you are considering applies to your error.
